Body, Mind, Spirit – Back to Basics

How are you doing today?

Are you – like most of us – somebody who is living a too busy and complicated life? Or do you manage to stay peaceful and calm, all the time? The question is, is it even possible in today’s world? How can we hope for peace out there, when it seems we cannot find it individually even inside of us?

Whether you are here for your interest in Meditation, Feng Shui or Reiki – all of them teach us, again and again, calmness is a possibility, beginning with intention and loving energies inside and out, especially when it comes to self-love.

Often, we hear our individual goals are more easily attained through mind/body/spirit balance. Well, let’s have a look at how to get there?

How about we get back to the basics of leading a balanced life. Let’s have a look at these areas and see what we can do for them on a day to day basis:

  • BODY:

Do I eat a balanced diet?
Do I allow enough time for a good night’s sleep?
Do I exercise on a routine basis?
Have I eliminated harmful habits (smoking, drinking excessively, drugs, etc.)?
Do I love my physical body?
Do I give gratitude to my physical body?

  • MIND:

How is my self-talk? Positive or negative?
Am I aware of my thoughts during challenging times?
Do I think of myself as a beautiful being?
Do my thoughts and ideas lead to intentional, positive actions?
How are my thoughts about other people? Positive or negative?
Do I appreciate the power of the energies of my thoughts?
How judgemental and/or criticising am I? Towards myself and others?


Do I take time to meditate and/or pray?
Am I aware of the spiritual guidance available to me?
Do I check in with my spiritual guidance throughout the day?
Do I forgive those who hurt me, or slight me (or, do I hold grudges)?
Do I express gratitude for all the blessings in my life?
Are my actions and decisions based on love or fear?

The “basics” of any topic, thing, or intention is the foundation. It is not possible to build anything strong and long-lasting without a foundation – whether it is a bridge, a charitable organization, or a life. Frequently, in our own lives, we get so involved so much with the nitty-gritty, we tend to ignore the underlying and necessary structures. Before we know it, we have developed a stress-filled life, finding it difficult to live in peace and calmness.

Which ever tool you choose to balance your life with, get started, take action – taking action IS the foundation of every success and growth. Without action, none of your meditation, Feng Shui rules & ideas, Reiki healings will lead you to a balanced life.

During Meditation & Reiki, for instance, we rest in pure, perfect harmony, and we want to stay there. The solution is not to spend 23 hours a day in stress, and 60 minutes in peacefulness. The solution is to take the peacefulness you gained into the other 23 hours of our days! Going back to the basics of mind/body/spirit balance is the foundation of establishing a balanced lifestyle – and the first step to establishing peace – inside and out.
